The Zündapp KS 750 motorcycle was the official motorcycle of the Wehrmacht. It entered service in 1939 and was produced until 1948. Approximately 18,695 were produced. Its competition was the BMW R75 which you see here. Although the BMW was considered less reliable by troops, it was used on all fronts. Both motorcycles could mount a light machine gun and served as messengers, mail carriers, ad-hoc ambulances and transportation Wehrmacht personnel. It frequently was used in a reconnaissance role.
